Experience
Upon my return to United, I seamlessly resumed my role, overseeing the redesign, development, project management, and successful launch of the new personalized Magento2 Enterprise Website & Auctions Business. This project was already in progress when I had initially departed from the company, but faced obstacles in launching due to resource-related challenges, both internally and externally. I was sought out and persuaded to rejoin the business to address these issues. The enhanced website now boasts subscription functionality, a fully customised Auctions business, event ticket sales features, and comprehensive customer profiling personalization, achieved through the implementation of custom profiling quizzes and Nosto.
Additionally, I assumed responsibility for the company's marketing and search engine optimization efforts, taking over from an external agency. This involved managing day-to-day campaigns, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, and optimizing search engine performance. Recognizing that these areas were not being handled effectively or reaching their full potential, I requested to oversee them. The outcomes surpassed expectations, as evidenced by a remarkable increase of over 310% in social conversions and engagement within the initial three months. This achievement played a vital role in driving the company's growth and NTB database.
In early April '23, the company acquired a new business, which entailed integrating its BigCommerce platform and aligning all systems with our overarching company structure. As part of this process, I undertook a comprehensive redesign and rebranding, infusing the entire entity with a fresh theme and style. To ensure consistency, I developed brand guidelines and diligently implemented them across this newly rebranded business.
In February 2024, I replatformed our new business to Shopify and launched the brand Winetopia International. I personally handled all aspects of the development and design, ensuring a smooth and efficient migration. This hands-on approach allowed me to streamline our e-commerce capabilities while fully customizing the site to reflect our brand’s vision. The launch of Winetopia was a pivotal moment, delivering a premium customer experience with a thoughtfully curated selection of wines. By overseeing both the technical and creative aspects, I optimized site performance and integrated a user-friendly interface, setting the stage for enhanced customer engagement and growth.
Following Winetopia's success, I dedicated three months to personally code the new United Cellars platform, working long hours (16+hr/7days) to develop and migrate our main sites for both Australia and New Zealand to Shopify. This strategic move away from Magento 2 increased performance and boosted conversion rates by up to 63.2%. The new sites feature a more intuitive user experience, faster load times, and an improved checkout process, driving higher customer engagement and sales across both market.
Currently, I manage seven different brands / Shopify websites, including United Cellars AU, United Cellars NZ, Winetopia International, Belford & Co, Tāpui, Côte des Sommets, and Serraluna, ensuring seamless integrations between Shopify - Netsuite and continued growth across the platforms.
Throughout all these endeavours, I diligently stayed up to date with weekly and monthly reporting on analytics, conversions, trends, and assessing the effectiveness of various strategies. Simultaneously, I successfully managed a diverse team comprising in-person and overseas designers, a data manager, a copywriter, and an offshore development team responsible for the website.
Working collaboratively with the Managing Director and Key Stakeholders, I spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge digital strategies. As the head of the eCommerce team, I am responsible for driving and delivering top-notch marketing, content, video, web, and creative assets while ensuring strict adherence to the company's branding guidelines.
On the technical side, I take charge of managing and maintaining the Shopify eCommerce platform. I continuously explore and establish new sales channels to expand the business's reach and customer base. To maximize brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue generation, I design and maintain a captivating Tapcart Mobile App via Shopify.
Overseeing the Meta Business Suite and all Google Ads, I meticulously manage their allocated budgets to optimize their impact on the business. Additionally, I am actively involved in updating our social media platforms daily with creative content, fostering customer engagement, and cultivating a growing social media following.
Utilizing Klaviyo, I handle the end-to-end process of designing, scheduling, and implementing all EDMs. By employing flow management techniques, I craft effective EDM strategies to enhance customer interactions and drive results.
To keep our marketing initiatives fresh and exciting, I develop engaging contests and implement innovative marketing strategies that leverage various social and digital channels. My goal is to continuously evolve and stay ahead in the dynamic digital landscape.
As the head of the digital department, I am responsible for overseeing all day-to-day digital operations and managing a team of experts in various digital processes. One of my key responsibilities is managing and maintaining the eCommerce platform, which runs on Magento 2. To streamline business processes, I ensure seamless integration with Netsuite ERP using Celigo.
In the realm of email marketing, I take charge of designing, coding, and scheduling all EDMs. Initially, I utilize Mailchimp for this purpose, but later on, I transition to DotDigital and perform a full database warm-up on the new platform to optimize its performance.
A major aspect of my role involves leading and creating impactful social media campaigns for the company, engaging our audience across various platforms to build brand presence and foster customer relationships.
Beyond digital aspects, I also cater to diverse graphic design needs that arise on a day-to-day basis. From office signage to online digital and in-person events, I ensure that our visual communication aligns with the company's branding and resonates with our target audience.
As a direct report to the Founder & Chairman of the company, I provide regular updates and strategic insights to support decision-making and enhance the overall digital presence and performance of the business.
As the lead Graphic Designer for the entire umbrella company, ULG (United Lifestyle Group), I am responsible for a wide range of creative tasks, catering to diverse visual needs across various brands and ventures under the company's portfolio.
One of the exciting projects I recently worked on was designing a captivating wine label for United Cellars, a prominent brand within ULG. Through meticulous attention to detail and artistic flair, I created a brand that not only visually represented the wine's essence but also resonated with the target audience, elevating the brand's identity and market presence.
Additionally, I had the pleasure of crafting visually stunning and conversion-focused landing pages for partnership deals under United Networks, another key brand within ULG. These landing pages played a vital role in driving engagement, attracting potential customers, and forging successful collaborations with strategic partners.
Beyond these specific projects, my role encompasses a myriad of other graphic design needs. From creating eye-catching social media graphics, email newsletters, and digital banners to producing printed marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, and posters, I ensure that each design reflects the essence of the individual brands while maintaining a cohesive visual identity throughout the ULG portfolio.
Collaborating closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams, I leverage design to enhance user experiences, communicate brand stories effectively, and support various promotional campaigns across multiple channels. Furthermore, I play a vital role in enhancing the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design elements of ULG's digital platforms and applications.
As a creative problem solver, I thrive on staying up-to-date with design trends and techniques, constantly pushing the boundaries of visual communication to set new standards of excellence for ULG's brand visuals.
Working in this dynamic and innovative environment, I have the privilege of contributing to ULG's overall success by creating visually engaging experiences that resonate with our customers, partners, and stakeholders.
When I started working for United Networks they were going through a rebrand of their website, which involved an abundance of website mock-ups and wireframes. Following on from that there was a plethora of CMS work to update the website. I was involved in the process of helping to rebuild designs that later were used in various forms from pamphlets to packaging. Designing a SIM card was the highlight of this job, it's something that I would have never thought I'd get to design.
I was a paid Junior Graphic designer 2 days a week, reporting to the Marketing Manager, for 3 months.

As an integral part of the design team, I contributed to the successful transformation of the website's visual identity. Subsequently, there was an abundance of content management system (CMS) work to be done to keep the website up-to-date and engaging for visitors.
Beyond the digital realm, my role extended to translating these newly revamped designs into various offline formats, ranging from captivating pamphlets to eye-catching packaging. Being involved in the entire creative process allowed me to witness the seamless integration of design elements across both online and offline platforms.
One of the most memorable highlights of my time at United Networks was the opportunity to design a SIM card. It was a project that genuinely surprised me, as I had never envisioned having the chance to work on such a unique and tangible design.
